Who Dat Girl ist ein Song des US-amerikanischen Rappers Flo Rida in einer Zusammenarbeit mit dem Sänger Akon, der am 7. Dezember 2010 als dritte Single von Flo Ridas drittem Album Only One Flo (Part 1) veröffentlicht wurde.[1] Flo Rida übernimmt den Rap-Teil des Liedes, während Akon den Refrain singt.

Die Regie des Musikvideos führte Ray Kay.[3]

Das Video wurde erstmals am 2. Dezember 2010 auf MTV ausgestrahlt.[4]

Rezeption

Lewis Corner von Digital Spy UK gab dem Lied mit zwei von fünf Sternen eine negative Bewertung, wobei er befand: Flo Ridas Glück in den Charts war zuletzt gering, wobei mit seiner letzten Anstrengung und seinem ersten Solotitel knapp die Top 40 verfehlte. Seine Lösung? Die großen Kaliber wie Akon herbeiholen.

Flo Rida’s chart luck has been down of late, what with his last effort – and first solo track – just missing out on a spot in the top 40. His solution? Call in the big guns – in this instance Konvict yelper and GaGa ‘discoverer’ Akon to launch him back to the top – and given that Flo considers himself the old-fashioned romantic sort at heart, there are no prizes for guessing which rapper took the reigns on his latest effort.
What’s more, he’s even roped in serial hitmaker Dr Luke to helm the track, who supplies a ready-made rubbery electro-R&B hook with a beat peeled off the ‘California Gurls’ cutting room floor. ‘I imagine her topless / she might set off my rocket,’ Rida announces with a conviction that would make even Hugh Hefner blush, as Akon confesses his lass ‘ain’t no actress / But she makes movies’. Who said romance was dead?[5]
