Upuge ist ein Verwaltungsbezirk (englisch Ward) des Distrikts Uyui in der tansanischen Region Tabora.

Geografie

Upuge ist ein ländlicher Bezirk im westlichen Teil des zentralen Hochlands von Tansania, etwa 25 Kilometer Luftlinie nordöstlich der Regionshauptstadt Tabora.[2] Bei der Volkszählung 2022 lebten 7499 Menschen in 1244 Haushalten[3] auf einer Fläche von 123 Quadratkilometern.[4]

Der Bezirk grenzt im Norden und Nordosten an den Distrikt Nzega, im Süden und Südwesten an den Distrikt Tabora (MC) und sonst an Bezirke des Distrikts Uyui:[5]

Infrastruktur

  • Bildung: Die Upuge Secondary School ist eine staatliche weiterführende Schule mit einer Ausbildung für Tagesschüler bis zur 4. Stufe.[7]
  • Gesundheit: Im Bezirk liegen ein staatliches Gesundheitszentrum[8] und eine staatliche Apotheke.[9]
