Trichopotamon ist eine Gattung aus der Krabben-Familie Potamidae mit zwei rezenten Arten.[1] Die Süßwasserkrabben kommen im Hengduan-Gebirge in der südwestlichen chinesischen Provinz Sichuan vor.[2]

Merkmale

Der Carapax ist mittelgroß, dick und aufgetrieben. Der Postfrontallappen und der Postorbitalkamm sind vergleichsweise deutlich. Der vordere Seitenrand ist kielartig. Die Scherenbeine sind asymmetrisch, ihre Finger schlank und länger als die Hand (Propodus). Der Exopodit des dritten Maxillipeden trägt keine Geißel. Das Endsegment des ersten Gonopodiums ist länger als das halbe vorletzte Glied und seine Oberfläche ist mit langen Borsten besetzt. Die Vulvae der Weibchen öffnen sich nach oben.[2]
