Transmitter (englisch für „Sender, Umformer, Übertrager“, von lateinisch transmittere „hinüberschicken, übertragen“) steht für:

  • Transmitter (Band), deutsche Band, 2001 in Hannover gegründet
  • biochemische Stoffe, siehe Neurotransmitter
  • Kleinsender, um z. B. Musik von MP3-Spielern in UKW-Radios wiederzugeben, siehe Minisender
  • englisch für Geräte, die Signale in ein anderes, zumeist genormtes Signal umsetzen, siehe Messumformer
  • Sendeeinrichtung für den Zugang zu einem Übertragungskanal, siehe Sendeanlage
  • in der Science-Fiction ein Gerät zum verzögerungsfreien Transport über große Entfernungen, siehe Teleportation
