Tonk (Hindi: टोंक, Ṭoṅk) ist eine Stadt (Municipal Council) im indischen Bundesstaat Rajasthan und Hauptstadt des Verwaltungsdistrikts Tonk.
Die Stadt liegt ca. 279 Meter über dem Meeresspiegel, 100 Straßenkilometer südlich Jaipurs, der Hauptstadt Rajasthans. Der Fluss Banas fließt nördlich an Tonk vorbei. Die nationale Fernstraße NH 12 (Kota–Jaipur) führt durch Tonk. Die NH 116 verbindet Tonk mit Sawai Madhopur. Die Einwohnerzahl von Tonk betrug beim Zensus 2011 rund 165.000.
Tonk war die Hauptstadt des früheren Fürstenstaates Tonk.
Nach der Stadt ist der 1911 in der Nähe gefallene Tonk-Meteorit benannt.
Klima
In Tonk herrscht ein Steppenklima. In den Monsunmonaten Juli und August fallen noch die meisten Niederschläge. Die durchschnittliche Jahresniederschlagsmenge liegt bei 647 mm. Die Jahresmitteltemperatur beträgt 26,0 °C.
