Strindheim
Strindheim ist ein Stadtteil im Nordosten von Trondheim, in der ehemaligen Gemeinde Strinda. 1894 wurde das Anwesen Emilies Minde an die Schulbehörde Lade verkauft, die dort eine Grundschule errichtete. Diese erhielt 1896 den Namen Strindheim skole.[1]
In diesem Viertel befindet sich die Strindheim kirke.
Strindheim ist heute ein Verkehrsknotenpunkt an der E6 Ost. Mehrere Industrieunternehmen und Handelshäuser sind hier angesiedelt, darunter die Schokoladenfabrik Nidar. 2007 wurde hier das mit 700 kg größte Marzipanschwein hergestellt.
Der Strindheim Idrettslag ist einer der bekanntesten Sportvereine des Landes, unter seinen Mitgliedern ist auch Petter Northug zu finden.
