Geographie

Solignat liegt etwa dreißig Kilometer südsüdöstlich von Clermont-Ferrand. Umgeben wird Solignat von den Nachbargemeinden Meilhaud im Norden und Nordwesten, Perrier im Norden und Nordosten, Issoire im Nordosten, Bergonne im Osten und Südosten, Antoingt im Süden sowie Vodable im Westen.
