Sirpus ist eine Gattung von Krabben innerhalb der Unterfamilie der Pirimelinae mit vier Arten.[1] Sie besiedeln die Gezeitenzone und den Schelf in Tiefen zwischen 0 und 40 m im gemäßigten Nord- und im tropischen Ostatlantik einschließlich des Mittel- und des Schwarzen Meers.[2]

Merkmale

Der Carapax ist bis zu 7 mm lang. Der mittige Stirnlappen liegt tiefer und ist so lang oder kürzer als die beiden seitlichen. Der vordere Seitenrand trägt vier Zähne. Die Augenhöhle ist bauchseitig offen. Die Antennengeißel ist deutlich beborstet und erscheint federartig.[2]
