Shane Heams
Shane Timothy Heams (* 25. September 1975 in Toledo, Ohio) ist ein ehemaliger US-amerikanischer Baseballspieler.
Karriere
Heams besuchte die Bedford High School in Temperance und wurde 1994 in der 41. Runde des MLB Draft von den Seattle Mariners ausgewählt. Anschließend begann er als Pitcher seine Laufbahn im professionellen Baseball.
Zwischen 1995 und 2005 war Heams in den Minor Leagues aktiv, ohne jemals in der Major League Baseball zu spielen. Von 1996 bis 1997 lief er für die Arizona Complex League Mariners auf, 1998 für die Jamestown Jammers und 1999 für die West Michigan Whitecaps. Im Jahr 2000 spielte er für die Jacksonville Suns sowie erstmals für die Toledo Mud Hens, für die er auch 2001 aktiv war. Ebenfalls 2001 stand er für die Erie SeaWolves auf dem Feld. 2002 folgten Stationen bei den Pawtucket Red Sox, den Colorado Rockies, den Trenton Thunder und den Sarasota Red Sox, ehe er von 2004 bis 2005 für die Somerset Patriots spielte.
Im Jahr 2000 gewann Heams mit der US-amerikanischen Nationalmannschaft bei den Olympischen Spielen in Sydney die Goldmedaille.
