Serris [sɛˈʁis] ist eine französische Stadt und Gemeinde mit 10.326 Einwohnern (Stand 1. Januar 2023) im Département Seine-et-Marne in der Region Île-de-France östlich von Paris. Serris gehört zum Arrondissement Torcy, zum Kanton Serris und zur Ville nouvelle Marne-la-Vallée. Die Einwohner heißen Serrissiens.

Geografie

Die Stadt liegt etwa 37 Kilometer östlich von Paris. Umgeben wird Serris von Chessy und Coupvray im Norden, Magny-le-Hongre im Nordosten, Bailly-Romainvilliers im Osten, Villeneuve-Saint-Denis im Süden, Jossigny im Westen und Montévrain im Nordwesten.

In den nächsten Jahren wird die Einwohnerzahl von Serris weiterhin stark ansteigen, da die Gemeinde Teil des Neubaugebietes Val d’Europe im 4. Sektor der Ville nouvelle Marne-la-Vallée ist.

Verkehr

Im Süden der Stadt verläuft die Autobahn A 4 von Paris in den Osten Frankreichs mit den Anschlussstellen Nr. 12.1 und 13.

Der Bahnhof Gare du Val d’Europe liegt auf der Grenze zu Chessy und Montévrain im Nordwesten von Serris. Er wurde 2001 von der RATP in Betrieb genommen und wird von der Linie A des Réseau express régional (RER) bedient.
