Scraper (englisch für ‚Kratzer, Räumer‘) bezeichnet:

in der paläontologischen Fachliteratur
im Bauwesen
  • Granierstahl oder Wiegeeisen, ein Werkzeug zur Bearbeitung von Kupferstichen
  • Schürfzug oder Schürfkübelwagen, eine schwere Baumaschine zur Bewegung von Erdreich
in der Informatik
  • Screen Scraping (engl., etwa: „Bildschirm auskratzen“), Verfahren zum Auslesen von Texten und Daten aus Computerbildschirmen bzw. Webseiten (daher auch Web Scraping)
  • Ein Data-Scraper ist ein Computerprogramm, das Daten aus verschiedenen Quellen sammelt und zentral bereitstellt.
  • Ein Log-Scraper sammelt Logdateien von verschiedenen Rechnern in einem Netzwerk.
  • Eine Scraper Site ist eine Website oder ein Blog, welche den Inhalt (englisch: content) anderer Websites, Blogs oder Feeds kopiert. In der Regel ist nichts auf einer Scraperseite selbst erstellt.
