Rosalienkirche

Rosalienkirche oder -kapelle ist eine Kirche, Klosterkirche bzw. Kapelle, die der heiligen Rosalia, Einsiedlerin am Monte Pellegrino, geweiht bzw. gewidmet ist. Patrozinium ist der 4. September (Todestag) und auch der 15. Juli (Translation).

Die Heilige wird besonders um Palermo auf Sizilien und im ganzen Mittelmeerraum verehrt. Weil die Habsburger lange Herrscher in Sizilien waren, finden sich die Kirchen auch im ehemaligen Österreich und dem spanisch geprägten Raum.
