Repression oder repressiv (von lateinisch reprimere „zurückdrängen“) steht für:
- Unterdrückung, gezielte Willkür, Gewalt und Machtmissbrauch
- Repression und Sensitization, in der Psychologie die Vermeidung von mit Bedrohung assoziierten Reizen
- Repressor, in der Genetik die Verhinderung der Transkription eines Gens durch ein Protein
