Peter Mandler

Peter Mandler (* 29. Januar 1958 in den Vereinigten Staaten[1]) ist ein britischer Historiker. Er war bis 2025 Professor für moderne Kulturgeschichte an der University of Cambridge.[2] Von 2012 bis 2016 amtierte er als Präsident der Royal Historical Society. Seit 2015 ist er Mitglied der British Academy (FBA).[3] Ebenfalls seit 2015 ist er Mitglied der American Academy of Arts and Sciences.[4]

Mandler studierte an der britischen University of Oxford und der US-amerikanischen Harvard University. Er publizierte über die kulturelle, soziale und intellektuelle Geschichte Großbritanniens seit 1800 sowie über die Geschichte der Geistes- und Sozialwissenschaften im englischsprachigen Raum.
