Olga Bennett

Olga Bennett (* Oktober 1947 in Dublin, Irland) ist eine irische Politikerin der Fianna Fáil. Von November 1989 bis Februar 1993 war sie Mitglied des Seanad Éireann, des Oberhauses des irischen Parlaments (Oireachtas).

Leben

Olga Bennett war als Modeeinkäuferin tätig. Sie kandidierte sie bei den Wahlen zum Dáil Éireann 1987 und 1989 im Wahlkreis Dublin West, erreichte jedoch jeweils nicht genügend Stimmen, um in den Dáil einzuziehen. Sie wurde dann von Taoiseach Charles J. Haughey in den 19. Seanad 1989 nominiert. Sie wurde bei den Kommunalwahlen 1991 in den Dublin City Council gewählt, konnte ihren Sitz danach aber nicht verteidigen. Bei den Wahlen zum Dáil Éireann 1992 und den nachfolgenden Senatswahlen hatte sie keinen Erfolg.[1]
