Nyendra

Nyendra (* um 2002[1] als Thukten Nyendra) ist ein bhutanischer Singer-Songwriter.

Leben

Nyendra studierte Massenkommunikation und Journalismus am Royal Thimphu College.[1]

Im August 2025 nahm er an der von BBS ausgerichteten Show Druk Dra teil, welche den bhutanischen Vertreter zu einem kommenden Eurovision Song Contest Asia auswählen sollte.[2] Der Wettbewerb war zu diesem Zeitpunkt noch nicht bestätigt und die Vorentscheidung wurde daraufhin abgebrochen. Ein Jahr später, im August 2026 nahm er an einer neuen Ausgabe dieser Show teil und konnte diese nach einer kombinierten Publikums- und Juryabstimmung gewinnen. Mit dem Titel Lhayi Semo vertritt er Bhutan beim Eurovision Song Contest Asia 2026 in Bangkok.[3]

Nyendra schreibt und produziert seine Musik selbst. Er singt auf Dzongkha und Englisch.
