Neu-Rietz ist ein bewohnter Gemeindeteil der Stadt Treuenbrietzen im Landkreis Potsdam-Mittelmark in Brandenburg.[1]
Geografische Lage
Neu-Rietz liegt im Westen der Gemarkung von Treuenbrietzen und grenzt im Norden an die Gemeinde Mühlenfließ und im Westen die Stadt Niemegk an. Im Süden liegt der Treuenbrietzener Gemeindeteil Pflügkuff, im Südosten der Ortsteil Dietersdorf. Das Gelände befindet sich auf einer Höhe von rund 95 m ü. NHN.[2]
Geschichte
Um 1800 entstand eine Kolonie, die zum Gut Rietz gehörig war. Sie wurde 1837 als Kolonie mit Ziegelei geführt und bestand im Jahr 1858 aus elf Wohn- und 13 Wirtschaftsgebäuden, in denen 48 Personen lebten. Im Jahr 1895 wurde von elf Wohnhäusern mit 54 Personen berichtet. Die Anzahl blieb auch im Jahr 1905 konstant; 1925 waren es 53 Personen. Neu-Rietz wurde 1928 nach Rietz eingemeindet und war dort 1931 ein Wohnplatz; ab 1957 ein Ortsteil von Rietz.
