Nettspend, bürgerlich Gunner Shepardson (* 18. März 2007 in Richmond, Virginia) ist ein US-amerikanischer Rapper und Songwriter. Er erlangte ab Ende 2023 größere Bekanntheit im Underground-Hip-Hop und verbindet in seiner Musik Elemente von Trap, Jerk und Rage.

Leben und Karriere

Anfänge und Durchbruch

Shepardson wuchs in Richmond, Virginia, auf und begann bereits in der fünften Klasse mit dem Rappen.[1][2] Ende 2022 veröffentlichte er seine ersten Tracks auf der Plattform SoundCloud.

Der breitere Durchbruch gelang ihm im Jahr 2023 durch die virale Verbreitung von Ausschnitten seiner Musik auf Social-Media-Plattformen.[3] Seine Single Shine N Peace wurde Ende 2023 von renommierten Medien wie The Fader oder der New York Times in die Listen der besten Songs des Jahres aufgenommen.[4][5]
