Die Navigationssterne sind besonders helle, in der Navigation verwendete Sterne.

Beschreibung

Die gebräuchlichste Liste von Navigationssternen wird seit dem Jahr 1802 im Navigations-Handbuch American Practical Navigator von Nathaniel Bowditch veröffentlicht. Außerdem sind Navigationssterne in den meisten nautischen Almanachen und astronomischen Jahrbüchern aufgeführt.

Die Sterne sind gemäß Konvention von Westen nach Osten nummeriert, d. h., mit abnehmendem Sternwinkel. Die Anzahl der Navigationssterne variiert in den unterschiedlichen Handbüchern zwischen ca. 50 und 200.

Diese Liste gibt die Nummern, Namen, und Sternörter (J2000.0) der 58 klassischen Navigationssterne an, jeweils gerundet auf ein Winkelgrad.
