NGC 3585 ist eine elliptische Galaxie vom Hubble-Typ E6[3] im Sternbild Hydra südlich der Ekliptik. Sie ist schätzungsweise 55 Millionen Lichtjahre von der Milchstraße entfernt und hat einen Durchmesser von etwa 80.000 Lichtjahren. Die Galaxie ist das hellste Mitglied der NGC 3585-Gruppe (LGG 230).

Das Objekt wurde am 9. Dezember 1784 von Wilhelm Herschel entdeckt.[5]
