NGC 3099 ist eine elliptische Galaxie vom Hubble-Typ cD mit aktivem Galaxienkern im Sternbild Kleiner Löwe am Nordsternhimmel. Sie ist schätzungsweise 675 Millionen Lichtjahre von der Milchstraße entfernt und hat einen Durchmesser von etwa 175.000 Lichtjahren. Gemeinsam mit PGC 29088 bildet sie das Galaxienpaar Holm 160.

Im selben Himmelsareal befinden sich u. a. die Galaxien NGC 3067, NGC 3071, NGC 3118, IC 2524.

Das Objekt wurde am 7. Dezember 1785 von Wilhelm Herschel entdeckt.[4]
