Mazlum ist sowohl ein türkischer als auch ein kurdischer männlicher Vorname[1] arabischer Herkunft mit der Bedeutung „leise, ruhig, mild, sanft, bescheiden“, aber auch „jemand, der Unterdrückung erfahren hat“.[2] Die weibliche Form des Namens ist Mazlume.[3]
