Malcata ist eine Gemeinde (Freguesia) im portugiesischen Kreis Sabugal.

Noch 1960 lebten hier fast 1.000 Menschen. Die Bevölkerung sinkt seitdem kontinuierlich. 2021 lag sie bei 322 Einwohnern (Stand 19. April 2021).

Der Ort befindet sich in unmittelbarer Nähe des Nationalparks Reserva Natural Serra da Malcata.
