Liquid Meat ist eine 2003 von Freddie Mack gegründete Hardrock-Band, die ursprünglich in Los Angeles (USA) gegründet wurde und später ihren Schwerpunkt nach Deutschland verlagerte. Bekannt ist sie für energiegeladene Liveshows und eine Mischung aus klassischem Hardrock, Metal-Elementen und einer Prise Glam-Attitüde.
Geschichte
Die Band wurde in den späten 1990er Jahren in Los Angeles gegründet und trat zunächst in legendären Clubs wie dem Whisky a Go Go, dem Troubadour und auf dem Sunset Strip auf. Mit ihrem Debütalbum erarbeitete sich Liquid Meat schnell eine lokale Fangemeinde.
Nach zwei Veröffentlichungen in den USA zog die Band nach München, wo sie sich in der dortigen Rock- und Metal-Szene etablierte. Dort spielte sie auf Festivals wie dem Theatron Musiksommer, dem Tollwood Festival, dem Garchinger Open Air sowie international beim Wacken Open Air.
Stil
Der Musikstil von Liquid Meat ist im Hardrock verwurzelt, weist jedoch Einflüsse aus Heavy Metal und Glam Rock auf. Charakteristisch sind treibende Gitarrenriffs, eingängige Refrains und eine energetische Bühnenshow.
