Hani Labib Mahmoud (arabisch هاني لبيب محمود, DMG Hānī Labīb Maḥmūd; * 25. August 1907; † unbekannt) war ein ägyptischer Fußballspieler. Der Stürmer nahm an der Weltmeisterschaft 1934 und an den Olympischen Spielen 1936 teil.

Karriere

Verein

Labib Mahmoud begann seine Karriere beim al Zamalek SC aus der Hauptstadt Kairo. 1931 wechselte er zum Erzrivalen al Ahly SC und kehrte 1940 zu al Zamalek zurück, wo er seine Karriere 1941 beendete. Mit beiden Teams gewann er mehrfach die Kairo-Liga und den ägyptischen Pokal.

Nationalmannschaft

Mahmoud stand bei der Weltmeisterschaft 1934 im ägyptischen Kader, kam aber im Achtelfinalspiel, dem ersten Turnierspiel der Ägypter, nicht zum Einsatz. Ägypten schied gegen Ungarn mit einer 2:4-Niederlage aus dem Turnier aus.[1] Zwei Jahre später nahm er am Fußballturnier der Olympischen Spiele 1936 in Berlin teil und blieb im Achtelfinale gegen den späteren Silbermedaillengewinner Österreich Ersatzspieler. Ägypten schied mit einer 1:3-Niederlage aus dem Turnier aus.[2]
