Eine Krypte (von gr. κρυπτός „verborgen, versteckt“) bezeichnet als medizinischer Fachbegriff eine epithelialisierte Vertiefung der Schleimhaut, welche bis in tiefere Wandschichten hineinreicht.[1] Anatomische Beispiele sind:
