Kapenta ist ein Verwaltungsbezirk (englisch Ward) des Distrikts Sumbawanga in der tansanischen Region Rukwa.

Geografie

Kapenta ist ein ländlicher Bezirk im Westen des südlichen Hochlands von Tansania, er liegt etwa 70 Kilometer Luftlinie südöstlich der Regionshauptstadt Sumbawanga am Rukwasee. Bei der Volkszählung 2022 lebten 17.400 Menschen in 3269 Haushalten[2] auf einer Fläche von 219 Quadratkilometern.[3]

Der Bezirk grenzt im Norden an den Rukwasee und sonst an Bezirke des Distrikts Sumbawanga:[4]
