JSONB

JSONB ist ein Dateiformat, das zu den Binärvarianten von JSON zählt. Neben der Speicherung in einem etwas platzsparenderen Binärformat bietet JSONB auch Indizierung, was es für Datenbanken interessant macht.[1]

Verwendung

Es ist ein Datentyp innerhalb von PostgreSQL.[2] Dieser wird auch von anderen Datenbanken wie Spanner verwendet.[3] Amazon Aurora DSQL unterstützt den Datentyp ebenfalls.[4] Die Netezza Datenbankplattform bietet es auch als Datentyp an.[5] Ab Version 3.45.0 unterstützt SQLite JSONB, ist aber nicht binärkompatibel zu der Variante von PostgreSQL.[6]
