Irfan (arabisch عرفان, DMG ʿIrfān) ist ein arabischer männlicher Vorname mit der Bedeutung „Wissen“, „Weisheit“.[1] Die türkische Form des Namens ist İrfan und ein männlicher und weiblicher Vorname[2][3] sowie Familienname. Der Name Irfan nimmt Bezug auf eine islamische Vorstellung eines „Geheimwissens“ und kommt nicht nur im arabischen Sprachraum vor.
