Die Begriffe Hull-Code sowie Hull-Nummer werden im Zusammenhang mit der Identifikation von Schiffen und Booten verwendet:
- Die United States Navy (US-Marine), die United States Coast Guard (US-Küstenwache) und die United States National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA) verwenden ein Schiffsklassifizierungssystem namens Hull-Code, siehe Schiffskennung#Schiffskennungen_der_U.S._Navy.2C_Coast_Guard_und_NOAA
- Die Hull-Nummer erfüllt eine sehr ähnliche Funktion bei Sportbooten
