Der Hochtausing ist ein 1823 m ü. A. hoher Berg im steirischen Teil des Toten Gebirges. Der isolierte, aus den Waldkuppen der Umgebung aufragende Berg hat eine steile Nord- und Südwand. Am häufig besuchten Gipfel befindet sich ein Gipfelkreuz.
