Harrovia ist eine Gattung der Krabben aus der Familie Pilumnidae mit sieben Arten.[1] Sie besiedeln die Gezeitenzone und den Schelf in Tiefen zwischen 1 und 154 m im westlichen und zentralen Indopazifik. Sie sind obligate Symbionten bei Haarsternen.[2]

Merkmale

Der Carapax ist bis zu 14 mm lang. Der Seitenrand ist in einer Spitze abgewinkelt. Die Stirn besteht aus zwei, durch eine mittige Kerbe getrennte Lappen. Sie werden beidseits von den Supraorbitallappen (oberhalb der Augenhöhle) flankiert, welche gewinkelt oder zugespitzt sind. Der vordere Seitenrand ist eingeschnitten. Das zweite Antennenglied ist 2- bis 2,7-mal so lang wie breit, was die Gattung von Ceratocarcinus unterscheidet.[2]
