HMS Boadicea
Mehrere Schiffe der britischen Royal Navy trugen den Namen HMS Boadicea nach einer veralteten Schreibweise des Namens von Boudicca, einer britannischen Königin und Heerführerin, die den Boudicca-Aufstand (60–61 n. Chr.) gegen das Römische Reich anführte.
- Die erste HMS Boadicea war eine Fregatte mit (nominell) 38 Kanonen, die 1797 vom Stapel lief, an den Napoleonischen Kriegen teilnahm und 1858 abgewrackt wurde.
- Die zweite HMS Boadicea war eine Korvette der Bacchante-Klasse mit 16 Kanonen, Eisenrumpf und Schraubenantrieb, die 1875 vom Stapel lief, u. a. zur Bekämpfung des Sklavenhandels eingesetzt und 1905 zum Abwracken verkauft wurde.
- Die dritte HMS Boadicea war ein Leichter Kreuzer mit 3.300 ts, der 1908 vom Stapel lief, an der Skagerrakschlacht (1916) teilnahm, 1917 in einen Minenleger umgebaut und 1926 zum Abwracken verkauft wurde.
- Die vierte HMS Boadicea (H65) war ein Zerstörer der B-Klasse, der 1930 vom Stapel lief und am 13. Juni 1944 bei einem deutschen Luftangriff nahe der Isle of Portland versenkt wurde, wobei 174 Besatzungsmitglieder starben. Es gab nur 12 Überlebende.
