Das Adjektiv global (von lateinisch: globus ‚Kugel‘, im übertragenen Sinne ‚Erdkugel‘, im Sinne ‚weltweit, umfassend‘) steht für:
- alle Staaten und Völker der Erde betreffend, siehe beispielsweise Globalisierung
- einen bestimmten Sichtbarkeitsgrad von Variablen in der Programmierung, siehe globale Variable
- mathematische Eigenschaften, die nicht auf eine Umgebung bezogen sind, siehe Umgebung (Mathematik)
- Global Television Network, ein kanadisches Fernsehnetzwerk.
