Genkaia ist eine Gattung der Krabben aus der Überfamilie Cyclodorippoidea mit zwei Arten.[1] Sie besiedeln den Schelf in Tiefen zwischen 68 und 150 m in der gemäßigten Klimazone des Nordwestpazifiks und im zentralen Indopazifik.[2]

Merkmale

Der Carapax wird bis zu 4 mm lang und ist etwa fünfeckig. Am vorderen Seitenrand sitzen zwei Höcker. Propodus und Dactylus der ersten beiden Schreitbeine (P2, P3) sind zylindrisch. Der siebte thorakale Sternit überlappt den sechsten. Die Öffnungen der Spermathek sind deutlich getrennt und durch eine deutliche Erhebung markiert. Der erste Pleopode der Weibchen ist rudimentär, die Exopoditen des zweiten bis fünften sind gerade.[2]
