Delal ist ein kurdischer, aber auch im arabischen Raum verbreiteter weiblicher Vorname.

Herkunft und Bedeutungen

Delal ist vom kurdischen „Delalî“ (Schönheit, Besonderheit) abgeleitet. Das Wort entstammt dem kurdischen Dil, zu deutsch: „Herz“. Im Arabischen Raum bedeutet er Schatten oder Bezauberndes Geheimnis.[1]
