Boba ist eine ungarische Gemeinde im Kreis Celldömölk im Komitat Vas.

Geografische Lage

Boba liegt 43 Kilometer südöstlich des Komitatssitzes Szombathely, 8,5 Kilometer südöstlich der Kreisstadt Celldömölk, am rechten Ufer des Flusses Marcal. Nachbargemeinden sind Nemeskocs, Nagypirit, Kamond, Kemenespálfa und Egyházashetye.

Geschichte

Im Jahr 1913 gab es in der damaligen Kleingemeinde 144 Häuser und 936 Einwohner auf einer Fläche von 1902 Katastraljochen.[2] Sie gehörte zu dieser Zeit zum Bezirk Czelldömölk im Komitat Vas.

Verkehr

In Boba treffen die Landstraßen Nr. 8415 und Nr. 8459 aufeinander. Der Ort hat einen Bahnhof und ist angebunden an die Bahnstrecken von Celldömölk nach Devecser sowie von Celldömölk nach Jánosháza.
