Lage der Gemeinde Biandrate in der Provinz Novara

Biandrate (piemontesisch und lombardisch Biandrà) ist eine Gemeinde in der italienischen Provinz Novara (NO), Region Piemont.

Lage und Einwohner

Die Gemeinde Biandrate liegt 15 km östlich von der Provinzhauptstadt Novara. Das Gemeindegebiet umfasst eine Fläche von 12 km² und hat 1384 Einwohner (Stand 31. Dezember 2025).

Die Nachbargemeinden sind Casalbeltrame, Casalino, Recetto, San Nazzaro Sesia, San Pietro Mosezzo und Vicolungo.

Bevölkerungsentwicklung

Verkehrsanbindung

Zwischen 1884 und 1933 gab es in Biandrate eine Straßenbahnhaltestelle, die als Knotenpunkt zwischen der Straßenbahnlinie Vercelli-Biandrate-Fara und der Linie nach Novara diente. Diese Strecken wurden danach durch Busse ersetzt.

Die Gemeinde liegt unmittelbar an dem Autobahnkreuz der A4 und der A26. Zur nächsten Autobahnauffahrt sind es knapp 3 Kilometer.
