Beate Schaefer

Beate Schaefer (* 3. August 1961 in Frankfurt am Main) ist eine deutsche Schriftstellerin. Sie schreibt historische Romane, Erzählungen, Theaterstücke und Libretti.

Leben

Beate Schaefer studierte Germanistik, Kunstgeschichte und Soziologie an der Universität Frankfurt; sie schloss dieses Studium mit dem Magistergrad ab. Anschließend war sie in der Presse- und Öffentlichkeitsarbeit tätig, u. a. für den WWF Deutschland. Seit 1996 ist sie freie Schriftstellerin und übersetzt daneben Unterhaltungsliteratur aus dem Englischen. Nach längerem Aufenthalt in Pforzheim lebt sie heute in Kiel.
