Barnala (auf Panjabi ਬਰਨਾਲਾ) ist eine Stadt (Municipal Council) des nordwestindischen Bundesstaates Punjab.
Beim Zensus 2011 betrug die Einwohnerzahl 116.449.
Barnala befindet sich im Tiefland auf einer Höhe von 232 m 65 km südsüdwestlich der Stadt Ludhiana. Die Stadt ist Sitz des gleichnamigen Distrikts. Mit den umliegenden Städten ist Barnala per Eisenbahn und Fernstraße verbunden.
Klima
Das Klima in Barnala wird als lokales Steppenklima bezeichnet. In den Sommermonaten Juli und August, während der Monsunzeit, fallen die meisten Niederschläge. Der durchschnittliche Jahresniederschlag beträgt 533 mm. Die Jahresmitteltemperatur liegt bei 24,5 °C.
