BIG Magic oder Big Magic (Hindi: বিগ ম্যাজিক) ist ein indischer Free-TV-Kanal im Besitz von Zee Entertainment Enterprises. Der Kanal wurde am 4. April 2011 als Big Magic vom Reliance Broadcasting Network gestartet. Im Jahr 2016 wurde er von Zeel übernommen.[1]

Geschichte

Reliance startete den Kanal am 4. April 2011 unter dem Namen seines bestehenden Radiosenders Big FM. Das Netzwerk erreichte 30 % der Landesbevölkerung und konzentrierte sich auf die drei Bundesstaaten, in denen mehr Hindi gesprochen wird (Uttar Pradesh, Madhya Pradesh und Bihar). Der Kanal wurde von allen Kabelanbietern in diesen drei Bundesstaaten ausgestrahlt. Innerhalb weniger Monate nach dem Start war Big Magic der meistgesehene Kanal in den drei Zielstaaten. Eine Bhojpuri-Version wurde 2013 eingeführt und zielte auf die Bundesstaaten Bihar und Jharkhand ab. Im November 2016 wurde der Sender von Zee Entertainment Enterprises Limited übernommen.[1][2][3]
