Atod war ein schwedischer Computer- und Videospielentwickler, der 1987 in England gegründet wurde[1] und ursprünglich CrossTechnics hieß.

Geschichte

Von 1992 bis 1997 firmierte man unter dem Namen Atod Design KB, von 1997 bis 2002 als Atod AB. Nach der Übernahme durch Warthog Plc wurde der Name in Warthog Sweden geändert. Nachdem Warthog selbst durch Tiger Telematics übernommen worden war, benannte man die Firma in Gizmondo Studios Helsingborg um. Als der neue Mutterkonzern im Zuge der gescheiterten Spielekonsole Gizmondo unterging, kam es zu einer Übernahme durch Eidos Interactive. Im Mai 2006 wurde der Entwickler in Eidos Studios, Sweden AB umbenannt und 2008 im Zuge einer Umstrukturierung geschlossen. Die letzten Spiele wurden wieder unter dem Firmennamen Atod AB vertrieben.
