  • Aratos (Spartaner), legendärer Führer der Spartaner, der im 1. Messenischen Krieg die jungen Soldaten nach Sparta zurückgeschickt haben soll, um dort allen Frauen beizuwohnen und so den Nachwuchs zu sichern
  • Aratos von Soloi (* ca. 310 v. Chr.; † 245 v. Chr.), griechischer Autor und Verfasser der Phainomena, eines astronomischen Lehrgedichts
  • Aratos von Sikyon (* 271 v. Chr. in Sikyon; † 213 v. Chr.), Staatsmann im hellenistischen Griechenland, 16-maliger Stratege des Achäischen Bundes
  • Aratos von Sikyon (Sohn), dessen Sohn, ebenfalls Staatsmann des achaeischen Bundes, Bundesstratege 219/8 v. Chr.
  • Aratos von Sikyon (Gesandter), vermutlich Sohn des letzteren, Gesandter des Achaeischen Bundes 181 und 179 v. Chr.
