Approximative Pivotstatistik

Eine approximative Pivotstatistik ist eine Folge von Funktionen in der mathematischen Statistik, die zur Konstruktion von approximativen Konfidenzbereichen verwendet wird. Sie bildet somit das asymptotische Pendant zur Pivotstatistik, welche zur Konstruktion von (nichtapproximativen) Konfidenzbereichen verwendet wird.
