María Alexandra Escobar Guerrero (* 17. Juli 1980 in Esmeraldas) ist eine ecuadorianische Gewichtheberin.
Karriere
Alexandra Escobar nahm insgesamt fünfmal an den Olympische Sommerspielen teil (2004, 2008, 2012, 2016 und 2020), davon war sie dreimal (2004, 2008 und 2020) während der Eröffnungsfeier Fahnenträgerin ihrer Nation, 2020 gemeinsam mit dem Boxer Julio Castillo. Bei den Spielen 2004 wurde sie Siebte in der Kategorie bis 58 kg mit 215 kg. Bei den Spielen 2008 konnte sie den fünften Rang in der Kategorie bis 58 kg mit einer Gesamtleistung von 223 kg erringen. Sie gewann die Bronzemedaille bei der Weltmeisterschaft 2001 in der Kategorie bis 53 kg mit einer Gesamtleistung von 205 kg.
