Ang Torá (Inebreyo: תּוֹרָה) ang unang parte sa Tanakh. Kini nagpasi-ugda sa Bereshit (Inebreyo: בְּרֵאשִׁית, "Henesis") nga gilangkoban sa kasaysayan sa pagbuhat ni Bathala sa mga langit ug yuta, lakip na ang pag-umol Niya sa nagkainlaing may kinabuhi (mga tanaman, mga kahayupan, mga kinabuhi ilalom sa dagat, mga kalanggaman ug mga nilalang nga nagkamang ibabaw sa yuta).[1] Gisundan ang Bereshit sa Shemot (Inebreyo: שְׁמוֹת, "Eksodo") nga naghisgut mahitungod sa kinabuhi sa mga katawhan ni Bathala didto sa awa-aw nga dapit gawas sa yuta sa Ehipto uban kang Moshe (Kinatsila: Moisés), ang igsoon ni Aharon (Kinatsila: Aarón) ug ni Miryam (Kinatsila: Miriam). Dinhi mabasa sa Shemot ang mga katingalahang gahum ni Bathala nga Iyahang gipakita ngadto sa malupigong Paraon pinaagi kang Moshe.[2] Misunod ang Vayikra (Inebreyo: וַיִּקְרָא, "Lebitiko"), ang kasulatan mahitungod sa mga pamaagi sa kinabuhi sa mga Israyelita o ang kaliwatan ni Ya’akov (Kinatsila: Jacob). Dayon ang ika-upat nga libro o basahon mao ang Bemidbar (Inebreyo: בַּמִּדְבָּר, "Mga Numero"). Og ang Ikalimang sulat ni Moshe mao ang Devarim (Inebreyo: דְּבָרִים, "Dyuteronomyo").
