Stub
Stub (grč stulos) je konstruktivni element[1] u arhitekturi, drveni, metalni, kameni ili zidani vertikalni podupirač najčešće kružnog presjeka koji prenosi teret (krova, greda ili luka) na čvrstu podlogu[2]. Stub može imati i isključivo dekorativnu ulogu, rjeđe može imati kvadratni ili poligonalni presjek. Osnovni djelovi stuba su stopa, stablo i kapitel. Formalno se stubovi najviše razlikuju po obliku glavice ili kapitela.
Posebne vrste stuba su stubac i karijatida.
