Rowan Sebastian Atkinson engleski je komičar i glumac.[1]

Široj publici je najpoznatiji po ulogama smušenog Mr. Beana u istoimenoj seriji te po ulozi Edmunda Crne Guje u seriji Crna Guja. Ostvario je i veći broj nastupa na velikom ekranu u filmovima poput Četiri vjenčanja i sprovod, Bean: Film katastrofe, Johnny English itd.[2] Poznat je i stand-up komičar.

Rani život i obrazovanje

Rowan Atkinson, najmlađi od četvorice braće, je rođen u Cinsettu, u okrugu Durham, u Engleskoj 6. januara 1955. Njegovi roditelji su bili Eric Atkinson, direktor poljoprivredne farme, i Ella May Atkinson (djevojački Bainbridge). Ima trojicu starije braće: Paula, Rodneya i Ruperta. Atkinson, odgojen kao Anglikanac, školovao se u Durham Choristers školi i na univerzitetu Newcastle, gdje je diplomirao na Elektrotehničkom fakultetu.[3]
