MPlayer je media player otvorenog koda (open-source) koji podržava reprodukciju velikog broja formata (AVI, ASF, VOB, MOV, WMV), prvenstveno namijenjen UNIX operativnim sistemima. Također postoji i verzija za Microsoft Windows. Podržava razne standarde (MPEG 1, 2 i 4), te MPEG4 codece (Divx, Xvid, Quick Time, Real video).
Analogno MPlayeru na Microsoft OS-ovima su BSPlayer i Micro DVD Player.
