Internet stvari (Internet of things (IoT)) jeste povezivanje mreža fizičkih uređaja, vozila (također nazivanih kao "spojeni uređaji" i "pametni uređaji"), zgrade, i ostale stavke - ugniježdene sa elektronikom, softverom, senzorima, aktuatorima, i mrežnim spajanjem, da omogući ovim objektima da prikupe i razmijene podatke.[1][2][3] Godine 2013., Global Standards Initiative on Internet of Things (IoT-GSI) je definisala IoT kao "infrastrukturu informatičkog društva."
